At Catherine Rooney´s Irish Pub & Restaurant we want you to feel as if you are a part of our family. That´s the Irish way. We named the restaurant after our mothers, Catherine McCoy and Gerry Rooney-Hudecheck; two wonderful Irish women who never had a bad word to say and went out of their way to make visitors to their homes feel special and welcome. Everyone who enters our doors is treated as family. We carry on the spirit of these two women at Catherine Rooney´s-Cáed Mile Fáilte!

Halloween Parade and Trick-or-Treat Main Street
Newark’s 66th annual Halloween Parade followed by Trick-or-Treat Main Street is drawing near. Plan now to be a part of this special Halloween event, complete with marching bands, floats, antique automobiles, costumed characters and much more. Spring Concert Series
Enjoy the fabulous music of local musicians as the City of Newark Parks and Recreation Department, once again hosts, the Spring Concert Series. Concerts will be held Thursday nights 7pm to 8pm during the months of May and June (beginning on May 2 and running through June 20).

2011 Community Day
The City of Newark’s Parks and Recreation Department, in cooperation with University of Delaware, Christina School District, and the Downtown Newark Partnership host the City’s annual family-friendly fall festival on the University of Delaware Green, which hosts almost 300 vendors and several stages for music and performances.
